What is an Autism Assistance Dog?
Canine Co-Pilots provides service dogs to children with autism to assist them with activities of daily living. These dogs are specially trained for each unique client. Typically the goals of the placement consist of increasing the child's social skills, maintaining safety, providing a calming effect when the child is over-stimulated, and relieving parental stress.
If you are interested in receiving an autism assistance dog for your child, an individualized training camp is mandatory. This usually consists of one or more caregivers attending a week long training session at our facility in AZ, followed by a trainer accompanying you back to your home to complete the placement with your child.
Cost
The cost is determined by the skills desired, and the time and distance necessary for our staff to travel to make the placement successful. The total cost is generally between $3,500 and $8,000.

Due to overwhelming response to this program, our waiting time is approximately 3 years.
