| What is a Hearing Dog? |
| Hearing dogs are trained to assist people with hearing impairments. They are taught to alert a person to various sounds including telephone rings, knocks at the door, alarms, and smoke detectors. |
| If you are interested in receiving a hearing dog, a two week training camp is mandatory. After successful completion of this training camp, you and your dog will graduate as a hearing dog team. You receive ownership of the dog after 6 months. |
